“What a player” – Ex Super Eagles star sends farewell message to Eden Hazard
Victor Moses played alongside Eden Hazard for six straight seasons, winning the English Premier League once and the FA Cup twice.
Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses, has sent a farewell message to Belgium playmaker, Eden Hazard after the winger announced his retirement from football, Soccernet.ng reports.
Moses and Hazard were teammates for six seasons, from 2012 until the Belgian bid the Blues goodbye after winning the UEFA Europa League in Baku in 2018, moving to Real Madrid.
The pair played a hundred and two games together for Chelsea, winning the English Premier League in 2017, and the UEFA Europa League twice, the first in 2013, and the second in 2018.
They also won the FA Cup together in 2018, with Hazard scoring the only goal of the game in their win over Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.
Hazard, 32, was a joy to behold at the Stamford Bridge and will be fondly remembered for his quick feet, and the way he dazzled past defenders with ease. After six years at the club, he decided to move to Real Madrid, but the move didn’t pan out well for him.
Injuries marred Hazard’s time at the club, featuring in seventy-six games across five seasons for the Los Blancos, scoring just seven goals, and after his contract expired, the winger decided to call it a wrap on his glorious career.
2013 AFCON winner, Moses, took to his social media page to send his friend a farewell message.
“What a player! Legend in the game! It was a pleasure playing with you and enjoy your retirement mate.” He wrote.
