Tottenham keeping tabs on Flamengo’s Pedro amid continued uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane – 101 Great Goals

Premier League big six side Tottenham remains without answers surrounding the immediate future of star striker and club icon Harry Kane this summer, with chairman Daniel Levy and new manager Ange Postecoglou eyeing up Brazilian international striker Pedro as a possible market solution should Kane decide to move to Bayern Munich.

The 26-year-old has emerged as a serious goalscorer in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A over the last four seasons, which culminated in his inclusion in the Brazilian squad at the 2022 World Cup. As a key attacking threat for Brazilian giants Flamengo over the last four seasons after arriving from Fluminese in 2019, Pedro has bagged a total of 96 goals in 194 appearances across all competitions for the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit.

According to reports in the Independent from chief football writer Miguel Delaney, Tottenham remain eyes open across the transfer market with the established knowledge that Kane still remains open to the possibility of moving away from north London this summer with a future that is currently described as “50-50.”

Bayern remains adamant that the club and international record goalscorer is the ideal striker to bring into the fold at Säbener Straße.

Per Delaney, Tottenham’s stance surrounding Kane has only weakened of late, with Levy having already rebuffed two offers from the Bavarian giant, while Ligue 1 hegemon Paris Saint-Germain has also been linked with the England star.

“The idea of Kane leaving, however, is now seen as much more realistic than it had been. It is merely up to Bayern – or any other suitor – to come up with a number acceptable to Levy.”

“The German champions have already had two offers up to £80m rejected. Paris Saint-Germain retains interest, but Kane prefers Bayern.”
