Snl24 | Sello Maake Ncube: My Father Played For Pirates
It’s not often you hear of someone who has a special place for two big clubs in their heart, but legendary actor Sello Maake Ka-Ncube has exclusively explained to Soccer Laduma why he supports both Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Talk to us about the club you support in the PSL
I know this will sound strange. I grew up in Pretoria, so growing up the club I supported was Sundowns. But because I am a seed of a former Orlando Pirates player (Skhehla Ncube), I am torn. I always say I am a yellow bone. Sundowns is yellow and Pirates is the bones. I always say I am a yellow bone, but my blood is black and white. That basically explains that on the outer side I am Sundowns, but my blood is black and white because my father used to play for Orlando Pirates. He was in the same squad as Jomo Sono’s father. When Sundowns and Pirates play, I go with the team that wins (laughs). At the end of the day, I am going to be happy. There is no way I am going to be unhappy when they play against each other.
