Samuel started with TEAMtalk in 2018 via a work placement while studying at Leeds Trinity University, before becoming a freelancer alongside his degree and eventually a full-time member of the team in January 2021, a few months after graduating with a first. Passionate about Italian football and non-league, he has the rather unique combination of being a supporter of both AS Roma and Garforth Town – but still isn’t sure who would win between the two. In addition to his work with TEAMtalk, Samuel contributes for both of the clubs he follows. For Roma’s official website, he writes as a columnist, mainly for the women’s team; for Garforth, he is the programme editor, among other responsibilities. Samuel also runs his own website about Roma, called Giallorossi Yorkshire, which he has been writing on regularly since 2017.
