Leicester City’s English Premier League stay gets dented as Liverpool fires three goals past Daniel Iversen at King Power Stadium, Soccernet.ng reports.

Kevin Campbell had earlier stated that the Foxes needed to defeat Liverpool at home today in order to maintain their Premier League aspirations, but Jürgen Klopp’s team furthered their wounds by defeating them by a score of 3 goals to nil.

With only two games remaining—Newcastle and West Ham United—Dean Smith’s team is two points from safety after Liverpool’s facile win.

In the final half-hour before halftime, Curtis Jones scored two goals past the Dutch custodian, despite Wilfred Ndidi’s best efforts to shield his squad from the heated Merseyside team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold secured the win with an easy finish in the 71st minute of play, negating the effect of Smith’s pep talk at halftime as the East Midland team struggled in the second half of the game.

Harvey Barnes attempted to conjure up some moment of magic to spark the Blues with a comeback without Kelechi Iheanacho in the lineup, but Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker stopped his curling effort before the hour mark.

However, the 2015–16 Premier League winners might be headed back to the second division since 2014 if they lose their next two games.
