The 23-year-old, who was a product of Leicester City’s youth system, didn’t make an appearance for the club before joining Rangers on a free transfer in the summer of 2020.
Fulham will begin their successive Premier League campaign with a tricky fixture away at Alex Iwobi’s Everton next weekend, looking to improve on their 10th-place finish last season.
Speaking after helping his new club to a friendly victory on Saturday, Bassey said he has a childhood dream of playing in the Premier League and can’t wait for his first taste of action in a week.
I’m buzzing now, it’s every kid’s dream to play in the Premier League, that’s my dream and hopefully I do enough for the manager to put me in the starting lineup and give a good account for the team, Bassey told FFCtv
Bassey has ten caps for the Super Eagles after making his debut in a 0-0 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification tie with Ghana on 25 March 2022.
