Columbus Crew launches “The Home Kit” ahead of 2024 season
COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew today unveiled its newest primary jersey, “The Home Kit” by adidas, in advance of the 2024 Major League Soccer season.
The Home Kit’s design is inspired by the bold, angular architecture of the Black & Gold’s Fortress Lower.com Field and the buildings in the neighborhood that surround their Home – Astor Park. With the construction of the stadium and ongoing expansion of Astor Park, Crew supporters and Greater Columbus residents have unique opportunities to unite and celebrate their city through soccer matches, major events and additional activity downtown, which will continue to increase as the mixed-use development project progresses.
The new neighborhood’s name is derived from the Astor House, an esteemed hotel in New York City where Thomas Cahill founded the United States Football Association, which later became the United States Soccer Federation in 1913.
“We are proud to launch The Home Kit, signifying a club and a city at the heart of American soccer,” said Josh Glessing, Chief of Strategy & Development at Haslam Sports Group. “The inspiration of the kit reflects that some of the most massive and iconic moments in the sport have happened in Columbus. Soccer is always at Home in Columbus and we are excited to see our team wear a kit that represents that message.”

On the back of the kit, written encapsulated in the outline of Ohio is “The Heart of American Soccer.” This sign-off signifies the massive moments within the beautiful game that have happened in Columbus, including hosting the Men’s and Women’s national teams. Also featured on the kit is “Todos Son Invitados,” translated to “Everyone Is Invited,” along with the coordinates of Lower.com Field. This mantra reflects the Club’s desire to be a welcoming and affirming space for all. The front and center of the jersey will proudly feature the Club’s official jersey sponsor, Nationwide. The Club’s right sleeve partner will again be Tipico Sportsbook.
The new kit is currently available for purchase at the Crew Shop located at Lower.com Field (96 Columbus Crew Way, Columbus, OH 43215). The Crew Shop will have extended hours on Sunday, Feb. 18 (11 am – 5 pm) and Monday, Feb. 19 (10 am – 6 pm).
