Arsenal star agrees terms for imminent exit

An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at Premier League giants Arsenal has agreed on a long-awaited exit from the club, according to reports.

The player in question? Nicolas Pepe.

The subject of wide-man Pepe’s future, of course, has made its way back into the headlines on the red half of north London across the summer to date.

This comes after the Ivorian international was forced to return to base with Arsenal.

Pepe, for his part, spent last season out on loan, enjoying a reasonably productive stint back in France with OGC Nice.

After the powers that be at the Allianz Riviera ultimately came to the decision not to enter into negotiations over a permanent move for the 28-year-old, though, parent club Arsenal were left with little choice but to welcome him back on board.

With it common knowledge that Pepe does not feature in the plans of Mikel Arteta, however, the Gunners have remained on the lookout for a new home for the one-time record arrival at the club.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Edu Gaspar and co, at long last, appear to have found precisely that.

As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Pepe has reached a full agreement on the terms of a contract with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

A definitive, permanent transfer is therefore expected to be announced imminently, ahead of the close of the Super Lig transfer window:
